A Couple of Cancer Links

My mother died of cancer in February of last year, so I became a little more interested in the nature of the disease. Later in the year, I heard a coworker discussing The Emperor of All Maladies: A Biography of Cancer with her cubicle neighbor. She was reading it as part of her reading group. It sounded interesting, so I checked it out from the library. It was a very good and readable history of cancer and I recommend it highly.

Last month, I came across this Cell article, The Hallmarks of Cancer which is a good overview of the nature of cancer development. Published in 2000, it is not as recent as the book, but complements it nicely.
